When you’re in the field, the weight of your gear is as important as staying hidden. After 30 years and 1000’s of miles pursuing the call of the wild, it’s time for an outdoor company dedicated to ultralight, durable and easier to pack gear.

History

As a freshman in college, my advisor asked me a question that I am sure he’d asked thousands of students before, “what do want to become as a professional?” For a moment I considered the question, I was one of the few students to have ever received a full ride scholarship from Microsoft. My GPA prior to transferring to Montana State University was 3.85. I was surrounded by all the opportunities a young man could hope for but something was missing.

Winter turned to Spring and I turned from education to fly fishing. Bozeman, Montana is one of the top fly fishing destinations in the entire world and the river seemed to call my name. A pattern that happened day after day for the next three years, spending only enough time in class that it took to maintain my 3.2 GPA. The wild was calling my name and the longer I spent in it, the louder the call became.

So when I answered that question posed to me three years prior, my answer didn’t seem so odd, “I want to be a professional fisherman and guide.”

After a lifetime of pursing the next fishing hole and chasing big game through the hills and mountains, the time seems perfect to fulfill my dreams of creating an outdoors company.
